And they named it the Florida. A few important things to remember when considering buying this shoe: you want to have a little room in the front and back of the sandal because Birkenstocks mold to your feet and when that happens, the sandal curves up at the ends and essentially gets smaller.
Also be advised that this is a Narrow Fit style from Birkenstock. The sandal will seem shorter, but thats because of the width of the shoe.

I bought these for my daughter and she loves them! Birkenstock with the soft footbed barely require any break in. I have the traditional Birkenstock sandals without the soft footbed and these always take a little getting use to. Highly recommend to spend the little extra to get the soft footbed Birkenstock.

Bought these sandals as an alternative to flipflops. At the beginning , the shoe felt a little tight after wearing them for a few hours and my feet swelled up. Now this is no longer a problem. I used to own the same pair of sandals before. The old pair had a wider footbed which I prefer.

It runs more narrow than other Birks, but works for my aging, arthritic feet with serious metatarsal and neuroma issues. Avoiding surgery thus far...Footbed is soft, heel cup is perfect and the metatarsal bar is healing for these feet! Love these Birkenstock Florida soft sandals! I wear soze 7 in most shoes and purchased a usual 37 in these sandals. Will buy more colors.
